Big Bend Electric is proud to provide its members with some of the lowest electric rates in the country. The current national average for residential electric rates is approximately $0.16 per kilowatt-hour. BBEC’s new residential rate is $0.0703 per kilowatt-hour, less than half the national average.
A rate adjustment has been announced and will be affecting all rate classes effective April 1, 2023 (with the exception of irrigation horsepower charges will be effective February 1, 2023). Despite the increase, BBEC continues to provide some of the lowest rates in the region as well as in the nation.
